Meet the hosts
Sandra Peoples
Sandra Peoples (PhD student at SWBTS) is a special-needs mom and sibling. She and her family live outside of Houston, TX where she serves her church as the Inclusion Coordinator for Special Needs Families. She is also the Special Needs Ministry Consultant for the Southern Baptist of Texas Convention. She’s the author of Unexpected Blessings: The Joys and Possibilities of Life in a Special-Needs Family. Beth Golik
Beth is part of the Key Ministry team where she has served as the operations director since 2016. She hosts a monthly Disability Ministry Video Roundtable for ministry leaders and enjoys speaking with churches, particularly children’s ministry leaders, who are seeking to provide more welcoming environments for families with hidden and other disabilities. Beth also serves as the director of disability engagement at Bay Presbyterian Church in suburban Cleveland. She has a passion for connecting people to resources through networking and relationship building.
Catherine Boyle
Catherine has been impacted by mental health issues her entire life, including her own struggles with anorexia, bulimia, anxiety, and depression. Catherine has led and started various ministries, including a ministry home for women with eating disorders and Outside In Ministries, founded to help the church minister to and with people with mental health issues. Catherine also authored Hungry Souls: What the Bible Says About Eating Disorder.
Garett Wall
Garett Wall serves as the Connections Minister with Shine Disabilities Ministry at Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, KY where he faithfully shepherds kids, teens and adults with disabilities and their families. As the father of a kiddo with Down syndrome and autism, Garett is thankful for the ways the Lord is equipping him for disability ministry and for the lifelong journey of experiencing the goodness of God in all people. A graduate of Murray State University in Murray, KY, Garett worked for nearly 20 years in athletic media relations at both Murray State and the University of Louisville before God redirected his career path into disability ministry in 2019. A native of Dover, TN, Garett is married to Becky and the couple has two children, Lily and Isaac.
Dr. Steve Grcevich
Dr. G serves as the founder and President of Key Ministry. He is a child and adolescent psychiatrist who combines over 25 years of knowledge gained through clinical practice and teaching with extensive research experience evaluating medications prescribed to children and teens for ADHD, anxiety, and depression. In his role as President of Key Ministry, Steve serves the primary vision caster and spokesperson for Key and plays an important role in Key’s efforts to develop collaborations with church leaders, professionals, and organizations both within and outside the disability ministry movement. His first book, Mental Health and the Church, was published by Zondervan in February 2018.
Dr. Lamar Hardwick
Pastor Hardwick was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at the age of 36. Today he serves as an autism advocate and conference speaker, helping to educate and train churches and faith communities about autism awareness, acceptance, and advocacy. Lamar is the lead pastor of Tri-Cities Church in Atlanta, GA. His Most Recent book is Disability and The Church: A Vision for Diversity and Inclusion, published by InterVarsity Press in 2021. He is currently pursuing a PhD in ethics.
